For Yards That Already Have — or Are Planning — Hydrotherapy Facilities

Whether you already operate hydrotherapy equipment or are considering introducing it, one thing is becoming increasingly clear across the industry:

It’s no longer just about having the equipment.
It’s about how it’s used, who is responsible for it, and whether it meets recognised professional standards.

Aquaequi provides structured, evidence-led equine hydrotherapy education designed specifically for yards working in real-world, professional environments.

Why This Matters for Your Yard

Historically, hydrotherapy practice has often been guided by experience alone. Formal qualifications and consistent standards haven’t always been accessible — and practice across yards has varied widely.

That’s changing.

As recognised training becomes more visible, expectations are evolving. Owners, vets, and insurers are becoming more aware of what good looks like — and what reassurance they need before trusting a facility.

Yards that invest in proper education don’t just keep up. They differentiate themselves.

What This Gives You

By training with Aquaequi, your yard gains:
A recognised, internationally respected qualification
Greater confidence designing safe, appropriate rehabilitation programmes
Improved outcomes for horses through informed decision-making
Stronger professional credibility with vets and referrers
Increased trust from owners and insurers
A clear point of difference from yards relying on experience alone
Better understanding leads to better results — and better results build reputation and demand.

Designed to Help You Stand Out — Without Saying It

We don’t believe in pressure — just clarity.
As more yards adopt recognised training, expectations will naturally shift.
Owners will begin to ask questions.
Insurers will want evidence.
Vets will look for reassurance.
Yards that can confidently demonstrate qualifications, standards, and professional alignment are more likely to be trusted — and chosen — as this shift continues.

Confidence That Translates Into Results

Aquaequi training supports you to:
Design programmes that are defensible, welfare-led, and appropriate
Understand the why behind hydrotherapy decisions — not just the how
Apply consistent standards across staff and facilities
Communicate clearly with vets, owners, and insurers
This confidence shows — in outcomes, reputation, and referrals.

Insurance & Professional Body Alignment

Insurance providers are increasingly aware of the importance of recognised qualifications and professional body membership.
In some situations:
Treatments carried out by individuals without appropriate training or membership may not be covered
Owners may be reluctant to use facilities if insurance claims could be affected
So we’ve done the work for you.
By completing Aquaequi training, learners are eligible for professional body membership, helping to support:
Insurance confidence
Owner reassurance
Increased likelihood of claims being honoured
This protects welfare — and safeguards your business.

Which Training Is Right for Yards?

Level 6 Principles of Equine Hydrotherapy

Designed for qualified professionals overseeing hydrotherapy practice
This course is intended for those who already hold a Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline and are working at — or progressing into — an oversight, governance, or advisory role.
This includes:
Veterinary professionals overseeing the running of a hydrotherapy centre
Yard owners or managers who are already Level 4 qualified
Experienced practitioners moving into leadership or management roles
Level 6 is not designed for the general public or unqualified managers. It exists to support advanced professional judgement where responsibility, welfare, and accountability sit.
The course focuses on:
Advanced principles of equine hydrotherapy
Professional judgement, risk management, and oversight
Safe decision-making and protocol design
Confident management of facilities and staff
Alignment with veterinary expectations and recognised professional standards
For those who meet the entry requirements, Level 6 provides the depth and challenge needed to oversee hydrotherapy practice — not just deliver it.

Level 4 Equine Hydrotherapy Practitioner

For staff delivering hydrotherapy day to day
Level 4 provides:
Structured, recognised practitioner training
Clear expectations of safe, consistent practice
A solid foundation for professional development
Many yards choose Level 4 for delivery staff and Level 6 for oversight, creating clarity and confidence at every level of operation.

Support That Goes Beyond the Qualification

Aquaequi doesn’t disappear once training begins.

We offer Kickstarter Confidence Sessions, allowing yard owners and staff to book support at any stage to:

Discuss real-world challenges

Sense-check decisions or protocols

Clarify application of learning in practice

Be signposted to additional resources where needed

This support continues beyond qualification, helping ensure standards are maintained as your yard grows and evolves.

Hydrotherapy standards are rising — steadily and professionally.
