Grace Nattrass

Company Director | Lead Educator | Standards Lead

How Grace supports your success

Grace ensures that your education is built on scrutiny, clarity, and professional accountability — not opinion or outdated practice.

With over ten years’ experience as a veterinary physiotherapist, equine hydrotherapist, canine hydrotherapist, lecturer, and examiner, Grace understands both the clinical realities of practice and the responsibility that comes with setting standards. Her leadership roles as past Chair of IRVAP and IEH, alongside ongoing board involvement, mean your training aligns with how competence is defined and recognised across the profession.

For you, this means:

Clear guidance on what good practice actually looks like

Confidence that what you’re learning stands up to professional scrutiny

Supportive, structured teaching that builds judgement — not just knowledge

Grace is also your primary point of contact, ensuring you are never navigating your learning alone.

Hannah Simpson

Content Contributor | Evidence, Curriculum Integrity & Assessment

How Hannah strengthens your confidence

Hannah ensures everything you learn is evidence-led, current, and practically applicable.

A qualified veterinary physiotherapist with over five years’ experience and an MSc focused specifically on equine hydrotherapy, Hannah bridges the gap between academic research and real-world decision-making. She plays a key role in researching course content, developing learning materials, and working as an assessor — collaborating closely with the wider team to ensure assessments are authentic, relevant, and aligned with real clinical practice.

Hannah is also actively involved in supporting students through the assessment process, helping them understand expectations and achieve outcomes with confidence.

For you, this means:

Learning that reflects current science, not outdated myths

Clear explanations of why certain approaches are recommended

Assessments that genuinely reflect real-world professional standards

Support to help you confidently achieve and demonstrate your competence

Confidence that your knowledge will hold up in conversations with vets and peers

Hannah’s active role within professional bodies helps ensure your education — and its assessment — continues to evolve alongside the science and the profession.

Jenny Hindmarsh

Veterinary Lead | Clinical Accuracy & Ethics

How Jenny integrates veterinary insights into your training

Jenny ensures Aquaequi’s education aligns with veterinary ethics, clinical accuracy, and appropriate scope of practice.

As an equine veterinary surgeon with postgraduate clinical training, keen interest in acupuncture, and board-level involvement within the British Equine Veterinary Association, Jenny brings essential veterinary oversight to all veterinary-related teaching.

For you, this means:

Confidence that what you’re taught is clinically appropriate and ethical

Clear understanding of boundaries, referral, and collaboration with vets

Reassurance when working with owners, trainers, and insurers

Jenny’s role ensures you leave Aquaequi able to practise safely — and to communicate confidently within a veterinary-led framework.

What this means
for you

Our role doesn’t stop at delivering education — it continues until you feel confident applying it in the real world.

At Aquaequi, we support you throughout your learning journey and beyond. Alongside your course, you’ll have access to Kickstarter Confidence Sessions — dedicated opportunities to book time with us whenever you need clarity, reassurance, or direction. These sessions are designed to support you with challenges related to the course, the wider profession, and the realities of working within the industry.

Whether you’re navigating complex cases, building professional confidence, or preparing to progress, continue, or set up your own business, we help you understand what’s required and how to apply your knowledge safely, appropriately, and confidently.

If additional support or specialist resources are needed, we don’t leave you guessing — we signpost you clearly, explain why they matter, and help you understand how to use them effectively. This level of guidance continues through graduation, so you’re not left unsupported once the qualification is complete.

As a result, you leave Aquaequi able to:

Apply your skills safely and appropriately in real-world settings

Explain and justify your decisions with confidence

Navigate professional challenges with informed support

Represent best practice within the industry

Move forward into employment, continued development, or business ownership with clarity and confidence

You don’t just leave with a qualification — you leave with the confidence, judgement, and ongoing support to use it properly.

You don’t just leave with a qualification — you leave with the confidence, judgement, and ongoing support to use it properly.

I recently completed the Introduction to Equine Hydrotherapy course with Aquaequi and thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was packed with useful, practical information, with plenty of time for discussion around our own cases, which made it highly relevant to clinical practice. Grace was fantastic - approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely open to questions. I never felt that any question was too small or too basic, which created a really supportive learning environment. We observed a range of horses using the treadmill and were given the opportunity to watch them trot up beforehand - something I found particularly valuable from a clinical assessment perspective. A really insightful and well-delivered course that I’d highly recommend

Exceptional Level 6 Equine Hydrotherapy Training – Aquaequi - This innovative, sector leading Level 6 equine hydrotherapy course has been outstanding. The academic content is rigorous, evidence‑based and clearly aligned with higher‑level study, encouraging critical thinking and a strong understanding of rehabilitation science and clinical decision‑making. Theory is consistently linked to application, building confidence, competence and professional judgement rather than simply teaching protocols. The teaching team are highly knowledgeable, supportive and approachable, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback throughout. The course strikes an excellent balance between academic depth and practical skill development, making it both challenging and highly rewarding. What truly sets the course apart is the quality of the practical training too. Hands‑on sessions are exceptionally well structured, welfare‑focused and directly relevant to real‑world clinical practice. I have learned an enormous amount and would highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a high‑quality, professionally relevant qualification in equine hydrotherapy.

I attended an Equine First Aid course run by AquaEqui at the Unicorn Centre in Stow. The course was incredibly informative and has given me the confidence with horses going forward that I would know what to do if any required first aid. I learnt much more than I thought I would, its surprising how many old wive's tales really aren't true. Their approach to teaching was fun and relaxed, a really easy environment to learn in. The demo horses; Bob and Rupert, were incredibly well behaved and having them available to practice some of the taught skills was really useful. I would recommend Grace and Jenny to anyone and I'm looking forward to any future courses that I may attend with them.
